It’s the first day of December, and you know what that means- it’s gift guide time! Although common sense tells me I should have popped this up last week, these little guys always take a wee bit longer than I anticipate, and I always want them to be as thoughtful and inspiring as possible- as that’s what present buying is all about, right?

This week will be packed with gift guides and ideas- ranging from home and food, under £30, some favourite Etsy picks and some of the best books of the year too. I’ve got a big old stocking full of Christmas content coming- so I hope you enjoy it as much as I have putting it together!

Anyway- as I did last year, today I thought I’d start with your bestie. This pretty much extends to anyone a little bit special in your life (even if that person is yourself, ahem). As well as a handful of slightly more indulgent gifts including the gorgeous Isabelle Fox Greta bag (which I used for my legal wedding ceremony and remains one of my most treasured pieces), Diptyque candle (completely failsafe IMO) and vintage-inspired Pandora earrings (they have such a brilliant varied jewellery selection, even if your pal isn’t a charm kinda gal either). I’ve also included this beautiful guided journal from Keeptake, which you can use to document the next ten years- from special memories, what was ‘cool’ at the time and photos- which I think is the most special gift (especially if you include some photos of you and your pal to help get them started). There’s also a certain Papier notebook, some gorgeous Nana Tea from Lovecrumbs in Edinburgh (for all the fellow early nan’s out there!) and these gorgeous Katie Gillies terrazzo coasters, which are so beautiful- she also hosts workshops for making them, so a ticket to one of those could be really thoughtful too. Finally, for any fashionable friends I’ve included a pretty hair clip from Valet and a beautiful vintage blouse from Anita Is. There are so many beautiful vintage stores out there, and I truly think there is nothing more thoughtful than a one off item you know they’ll love (providing you aren’t tempted to keep it for yourself, of course)…

As per last year I’m going to include my previous gift guides for your bestie below- each have different ideas that I’ve tried to avoid replicating too much- so if you’d like to nosey at those you can do so below!
