Taken on a quiet cobbled street nestled between the old London city and new city buildings one mild grey Sunday afternoon, with the buzz and hubbub of commuters far away celebrating the weekend- this little location was the perfect peaceful, and quintessentially British hideaway for some silly posing, just before a predictable smattering of rain.
I always find the city a little surreal, the whole area surrounding London Bridge is currently in such limbo between the past and present that it’s always wonderful to stumble upon the beautiful worn streets, artfully crafted buildings and brilliant exterior decor around the area of Monument that sometimes we seem to leave behind a little. Don’t get me wrong, every time I pull up to London Bridge I gawp in awe at the sheer brilliance and bloody massiveness of The Shard (with my dad, Joe and I all sharing mutual affection for the ‘cheese grater’ and ‘walkie talkie’) but sometimes it’s nice to step back a little. But perhaps that’s because I’m currently watching Midnight in Paris and being horribly soppy. Who knows…
