It feels like it’s been a long time since I’ve properly sat down and down some old school blogging. Taken photos on the same day I’ve typed up a diary-like entry, and after reading Carrie’s recent post on the humble outfit post, it gave me some serious food for thought (and some I’d love your thoughts on too)!
Anyway, this morning Joe, my granddad, Maggie and I headed to a local garden centre to pick up our tree- we did the same last year, so although it’s only our second year in our home, I’m extremely happy to start making it a tradition. Although we were graced with drizzle instead of flurries of snowflakes, we popped Magic on the radio ( who happened to have a wonderful Christmas playlist going) and took the short drive, accompanied by my terrible singing, to collect our tree!
A few hours later, with the tree up (also known as Lady Penelope) as I’ve sat down to type this (I can finally focus now I’m all caught up on last weeks Strictly) I thought it would be a nice time to bring you up to speed on the last couple of weeks, seeing as they seem to have been a couple of the busiest I’ve had since I started doing this full time.

Although the rain began this afternoon, I’m now back and cosied up and ready to fill you in a little, naturally with The Chase pinging on in the background, before a couple of festive weeks (including a trip to the Big Apple) and a little time off for the holidays (clearly already excited for NY)!
Anyway- now all of my gift guides are now up, I’m properly on the home straight in terms of festive goodness here. Aside from prepping for a 14 person Christmas day at ours, I’ll have my yearly round-up post going up, and also thought about revisiting my 25 before 25 post last night (#latenightshowerthoughts) and seeing what I managed to tick off this year, and what’s changed (mainly the fact I’m not totally set on becoming a DJ, probably).
We’re also very much in the height of wedding planning, which as well as being so incredibly exciting, is starting to feel a little bit daunting too. Although we have just under 6 months left until the big day, with Christmas coming up- it’s starting to feel like it’s flying by quicker than I can keep up with to-do’s…
But! I guess it means we’re just closer to a big ol’ party with our nearest and dearest (with a cracking dress too)- so that’s definitely not a bad thing! I’ll be posting a lot more on this in the New Year- so stay tuned for that! Obviously if there’s anything in particular you’d like to hear about, let me know about that too.
Anyway- I hope you’re all doing well, and of course thank you for baring with me during this particularly busy period! Things aren’t normally so sporadic, so I truly appreciate every comment, click and conversation that is shared, it means the world.
