London Loves: Papersmiths

Despite living in a city as vibrant and exciting as London- where choice (be it for food, shopping, cat cafes or crazy golf bars) is aplenty, stumbling across new pop ups and beautiful independent stores can always be a bit of a minefield…

It’s the textbook definition of spoilt for choice- and with such variety it’s easy to not know where to begin (the amount of times I’ve been clueless when asked on the spot for dinner recommendations is slightly ridiculous)! But when word gets round about somewhere like Papersmiths (a.k.a a total haven for all things stationery and magazines), it quickly shoots straight to the top of my ever growing must visit list.

Having initially followed the brand on Instagram, before spotting them in a recommendation piece by the Evening Standard (which I swiftly tore out), and then championed by my pals Estée and Sophie– it took little more than a promise of pens and pink tiled interiors before I was planning a visit myself.

Tucked up amongst a row of pop ups in Shoreditch’s Boxpark, the shop is their second of two and is hard to miss past the glowing neon and retro sorbet shaded interior. With rows of shelves lined with everything from coloured ball point pens, independent magazines, pencil cases and city guides- it’s a total treat for anyone with a soft spot for stationery. Not only that, but with options to monogram beautiful linen notebooks and pick up greetings cards by some incredible artists you probably follow on Instagram, I highly recommend swinging by and giving them a follow (just don’t blame me for an ever growing notebook collection)…
