It’s taken me about three months to final start mastering a way of summer dressing that in short, doesn’t scare the pants off of me (a big deal, I know). I’m probably in the camp that only associates summer dressing with white dresses, cotton shirts and denim shorts- which, if your pins are as pasty as mine, can be a little intimidating. But lo and behold, the statement skirt! Something I’ve not worn in a particularly long time- but after spotting this insane number from & Other Stories which fulfilled all of my sixties space-age Bowie dreams, I practically ran into their Regent Street store (after missing out online)- and I can say we are truly getting along a storm.
I paired it with some simple silver accessories (to bring out the skirt accents and help with some added height) along some navy touches- and finally found something seasonal that fits in with my year-round wardrobe too- huzzah! Plus, I’m pretty sure these sunglasses will be staying perfectly put for the rest of the summer months, so you’ll have to get used to a little more bug-eyed action in these parts because I am in lurrrrrve. Now to perfect my road crossing strut (trust me, after these shots were taken, I’m a green-cross-code PRO- Tufty Club I’m coming for you…)
