Maybe it’s the fact I’ve been indulging in too much War & Peace (has anyone else watched it? Pierre is what I would call ‘bae’). Or perhaps it’s the fact that my dad called this my ‘Call the Midwife’ look- but wearing a ruff (y’know, like an 18th century poet) and a tie seems to be my new striped top and jeans go-to. Paired with some tights that I don’t think have have seen the light of day since 2007, this is pretty much what I’d cull the ‘ultimate throw back’ outfit, and I think I’m enjoying it.
We chose to snap these pictures, on wisely, what must have been the tail end of last weeks storm, and the windiest day of 2016. Smart move! But paired with the promise of a visit to West Elm, and a favourite Pret sandwich (don’t say I’m not a London culture vulture)- standing about coatless with a bad hair do for five minutes was all the worth it. Now just for that sun to come out…
