After a few weeks of spreadsheets, Facebook messenger groups gone wild and endless emails- the second Bloggers Market arrived! After an early start we arrived at the venue, ready for a day of market fun! Fortunately, we had the incredible help of Paige, Ron, Gemma and Anne-Sophie on board- meaning that we were able to get set up and going in record speed- and these gorgeous ladies helped everything sail smoothly throughout the day (check out their blogs too)! With decorations from Talking Tables adorning the walls and surfaces (what is it about honeycomb paper cut outs?)- we made way for huddles of ladies (and a few gents) arriving at 10:30- and from then we were a go go!
But we weren’t just trying to give old pieces new homes- na uh! We wanted to make this market a little bit more special, and made sure everyone was fed and watered- with tasty (and Instagrammable) fuel supplied from Krispy Kreme, Yo! Sushi and Appletiser– to keep everyone refreshed in between shops. On top of that we also had a not so-secret room filled with activities- including the wonderful ladies at Benefit giving mini makeovers, the ace Joel Benjamin on braid-brigade again and finally the uber talented Emma Block doing live illustration- which I know went down a complete storm!
To wrap up the day my pal Shannon Wardrop also treated shoppers to an acoustic set, with treats from her new E.P (which has just landed on iTunes and Spotify) as well as some seriously incredible notes- which couldn’t have been more special. To capture everything we also had the wonderful Amber-Rose on hand, so you can thank her for these gorgeous shots- as this gal was a little too busy to get camera happy!
We couldn’t have asked for a more fun day, so thank you all so much to everyone who came along (and BlackLane who got us there), tweeted and instagrammed (check out the hashtag here for everyone’s chatter) and blogged about the event! We can’t wait to get another one in the pipeline, and even perhaps visit some more cities too- watch this space!
