A weekend at Reading…

It’s been a few years, but I’m pretty sure Reading is without a doubt one of my favourite music festivals. It was one of the first festivals I ever braved camping at (and absolutely loved)- and this year I was lucky enough to head back with Swarovski, and one of my favourite ladies, Carrie. It may not be the most glamorous, ooze the most delicious festival food (although I did hunt down the dreamiest halloumi burger)- but you can guarantee that every year, Reading pulls out the most incredible line up, which undoubtedly equates to a pretty wonderful weekend- celebrating old favourites (lots of 2007 memories here)- and new ones too (I’m looking at you, Marmozets)…

Now, having spent a few years camping, day tripping and boogying my way through festivals- I’d like to think I’m pretty clued up on what to wear. I’ve definitely established that festivals are always chillier than I remember (this is real life layering skill put to the test)- and this year I upped the accessories ante, with a little help from Swarovski. With some simple looks on the cards, I pulled out some of my favourite sparkly pieces to see me through the weekend. I first took to layering the Daphne necklace on the first day to compliment a simple low neckline, stacking the Daphne rings and then wearing them across my hands on the second- as well as adding in the Domino bangle for the ultimate finishing touch (which looks just as awesome on the wrist as it does pushed up the arm too). As rose gold tones are on trend, I also styled the Delta necklace, which was the perfect subtle statement piece.

It was such a treat to be able to head back to one of my favourite festivals (although I love the BBC3 coverage, it never quite compensates), so thank you Swarovski for taking me along! I also filmed a mini lookbook throughout the weekend of the looks I put together and how I styled my jewellery pieces, to perhaps inspire some of you to embrace a #SwarovskiSummer too!

Post in collaboration with Swarovski, but love of all things pretty (and sparkly) and muddy festivals my own
