From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

Ladies behind the sidebar- Feb 2013

This month, my top sponsor is the a-mazing jewellery company Love Hearts and Crosses. Now, no matter what you are looking for, in terms of jewellery- you WILL be able to find it here- and after one visit, no outfit will be complete without one of their gorgeous accessories. Whether it be the perfect statement collar necklace, a porcelain pug necklace (yep, you heard right), some timeless charms or heaps of stackable rings- Love Hearts and Crosses is the place to go.

An absolutely magical online Aladdin’s cave, filled with semi precious and raw crystal gems that your jewellery collection probably won’t be complete without, Tentative Decisions is one site to bookmark. From double banded rings adorned with the most beautiful amethysts, to droplet rainbow crystal necklaces that add the perfect bohemian sparkle to any outfit- this little shop has some real treasures and all for incredible value for money. Perfect.

Charlotte’s beautiful blog, Charlestown Vintage is the perfect dose of whimsy, lifestyle and fashion- which will no doubt have you at hello. From outfit posts oozing the sophistication of someone like Ms Chung, darling tearoom visits (pens at the ready) and her day to day musings- be it on the beautiful British coast or cosied up at her family home, Charlie will always have the perfect post to read alongside a nice sugary cup of tea.

Being completely honest with you- Sofia’s beautiful blog was one of the first that I ever read, it was the first blog that made me want to blog and still holds that captivating charm that first made me want to read it. Her blog (or personal journal) is a wonderful mixture of life, fashion and style, enchanting inspiration and beauty- all written in a tone which makes you feel like she’s a friend you’ve known for years and will continually have you clicking back for more. Plus, she has an incredible back catalogue of hugely popular posts, in the small case you needed somewhere to start…

Fashion journalist, Laura’s blog is the perfect insider peep into the big wide world of fashion and beauty, and boy does she do it well. With honest, straightforward beauty reviews (this girl knows her stuff), the most covetable celebrity style and stunning outfit photos which will certainly have you lusting after the latest high street buys (and her beautiful barnet and smile)- Laura’s blog should be your first stop for fashion and beauty from a girl seriously in the know.

Emily and Beth O’Regan are the beautiful sisters behind fashion (come-foodie) blog, The Strawberry Sisters. Now, if a page of reading this doesn’t make you want to be the third sister, than I’m not sure what will- as these girls have THE most gorgeous wardrobe collection and a pretty impressive portfolio of foodie reviews in our great capital (watch out Rosie Londoner!) The sisters take you on global adventures from music festivals, Budapest to the Big Apple- and even take you across the web to Youtube- where they’ve showcased some pretty fun videos too. Go go go.

Described as a home for ‘unique handmade jewellery and accessories to revamp any look at any budget’, Almost Grown is a beautiful UK based jewellery and accessories shop laden with beautiful charm pieces, carefully made colourful friendship bracelets and some more unique statement pieces- the perfect subtle addition for a spot on fashion forward look. Additionally, everything on the site is under £10 (yes, that’s right)- which can only be a good thing.

The gorgeous Emily a.k.a Curly Cutie’s blog is the ultimate all rounder blog- packed with wearable fashion and outfits, books, make up, films and chit chatty day to day musings and adventures- what more could you possibly ask for? With celebrity style posts (and how to copy them on a budget), need-to-know new brands and some seriously gorgeous make up looks- Emily’s blog is the perfect little corner of the internet, and one I sincerely hope you follow.

Kim, Kim, Kim- not only one of the lovliest blogs I have discovered of late, but one of the sweetest ladies I have also had the pleasure of meeting in real life too. Love Cloth is the perfect ratio of fashion and general inspiration, and boy can this girl put an outfit together (so much so, I usually end up bookmarking everything she wears- and ended up literally wearing the same thing as her when we met). Plus, if this girls style doesn’t have you weak at the knees her beautiful writing and big grin will- plus she’s also currently running a pretty awesome giveaway, which is worth a visit in itself.
Paloma in Disguise is the perfect hub of inspiration if you’re in need of building a pretty perfect outfit. Each outfit created by this lovely lady is perfectly put together, built up of some of the most gorgeous affordable, covetable and current high street pieces- and equally simple to recreate if you’re ever stuck in an outfit rut. It’s safe to say I often leave her blog feeling ready to tackle my wardrobe and inspired to start putting some looks together of my own.

little nell
Little Nell is the perfect online boutique selling a darling selection of hand made and handpicked jewellery- stocking everything from delicate charm bracelets, quartz and hand painted pendants to stunning bobby pins (a.k.a the perfect hair accessory) and stunning arrow earrings- which scream festival season. Additionally, with many pieces being made to order; there’s the opportunity to add a little something extra special to each individual purchase.

There’s not a lot I can say here, apart from the fact that Maisie Cousins has buckets of talent. Buckets. The kind of person that makes me glad I didn’t pursue art or photography, due to the fact she has the most enviable level of creativity and the most perfect eye for the most beautiful shot- that takes far more than a good camera to create. If that isn’t enough, girl got some pretty bad-ass iPhone cases on sale with some of her amazing prints- I suggest you have a look.
