From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

A girl can dream: AllSaints…

(1. Dress, 2. Dress, 3. Shorts, 4. T Shirt, 5. Dress,6. Coat, 7. Blouse, 8. T Shirt

After enduring a self induced spending ban up until now (bar the essentials of course- J.W Anderson heavenly skirt, I mean you); online window shopping has certainly become more difficult. After running the typical high-street greats dry and seemingly knowing their ‘New In’ stock off by heart; I branched out.

Up until a couple of years ago, I hadn’t really known much about AllSaints. My boyfriend was an avid fan, and I’d regularly see him sporting some of their amazing graphic tees, adorned with hand painted and collaged artwork- and even their printed (and darn well fitted) shirts. Even at my recent school prom, I’d noticed some of the girls wearing the most gorgeous embellished sequin dresses, which couldn’t be mistaken for anywhere else. Additionally, I’ve recently seen their awesome new ad campaign popping about on my Facebook news feed with some seriously well dressed characters- meaning it would have been rude not to have a sneaky peek, right?

Fast forward an hour and I’ve created my dream wish list, after scouring each page of the website and creating some of the coolest looks imaginable- I’m wondering if my wardrobe will ever be the same without the above pieces. With the military coat adding a cute girlie twist on the more mannish military trend, beautiful autumnal fluid silk dresses making a subtle twist from the classic summer dress and some amazingly arty printed t shirts to make even the plainest pair of jeans cool- I’ll race you to the checkout…
