From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

Where Olivia Went: Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2012

As I type this currently dressed in mucky old pyjamas, curled up on the sofa with a less than ladylike sneezing habit, looking back at these pictures- I’m certainly feeling a little less glamorous. That’s not to say I felt like this last week at the Cosmo Blog Awards. Having amazingly been short listed again (I don’t know either…)I literally jumped at the chance to start planning an outfit- and more to meet and see some of my favourite bloggy friends (and avoid being half as awkward as I was last year…).

After heading to the Rose Club (next to my fave ever Marks and Spencer) I settled in to lots of chats, giggles and some less than tasteful dancing to Kanye West on my part- who knew that I could recite the whole of Gold Digga?! Anyway! The awards got underway and I am still more than surprised and thrilled to announce that I actually came away with something! I was lucky enough to be awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for ‘Social Savvy blog’ which means a HUGE amount. I know I’ve been gushing over every social media platform throughout the last week (it’s why I got it, though right?) so I shan’t go on- but for everyone that reads, comments, tweets, likes, what have you- I want to say a MASSIVE MASSIVE BIG BIG thank you for making my little space what’s it’s come to be today; I really mean it.

Following a surreal half an hour or so, a group of my favourite bloggers and I wound up at Zizzis (PASTA!) which equated for a seriously ecstatic Liv and the end to a seriously lovely evening… (thanks again folks!)

P.S Big apologies to those that had to tolerate with my heel-related moans, I pretty much greeted everyone I met with ‘OH HI MY FEET HURT A LOT’
