If you ever came across me on a Saturday afternoon popping to the supermarket, curled up on the DLR first thing on a Monday morning- or even baking in the kitchen (recipe coming tomorrow) this is probably the kind of thing you can certainly expect to see me in (bar the coat in the kitchen baking, of course). I read recently in a magazine that striped jeans,a t shirt and a slick of red lipstick is ‘the celebs’ hangover outfit- so I do dread to think this is what I look like about 90% of the working week… Never failed me! I’ve teamed my sailor esque outfit with a couple of my new Topshop winter essentials and these awesome heritage style patent tartan brogues from Sarenza, which also look pretty cool with thick tights and a tweed skirt!
Speaking of heritage, Laura Ashley is without-a-doubt one of my favourite classic British fashion and home ware brands. Whenever it comes to decorating my bedroom, or finding the perfect gift or home accessory; here is simple a one-stop shop. So, when I was invited to celebrate the brands blogs 1st birthday next to their Kings Road store I couldn’t say no…
With the ladies from the Vintage Patisserie (and the curators of one of my favourite cook books) and Laura Ashley making for some excellent hosts, we were treated to music from the gorgeous Liz Lawrence and a treat from the wish tree- tres magical! Of course that’s not forgetting the beautiful Christmas and winter collections that were decorating the shelves and sights around us- I have certainly started a little more than festive (I know it’s October…) Additionally, I also indulged in a naughty sugary cup of perfect Earl Grey and had many a giggle with some of my favourite blogger friends- lovely jubbly!
