I’ll be the first to admit, that in short- I am rubbish with catching and keeping up with TV shows and films (ask any of my friends and I know they’ll agree). I’ll often join band wagons long, long after they’ve passed by (Harry Potter anyone?) and I’m still yet to start many of the endless series people are getting excited about on their seventh series (guilty)! So, when I was invited to take part in the #AmazonVideoClub this month, I may have done a little happy dance, obliged in moments and begun my browse through their selection before you can say ‘I’VE SEEN THE PILOT!’
…’But what’s a video club buddy?’ I hear you cry! Well, as part of this little online community, a group of some blogger pals and I will be weekly watching a series (or giving a new one a go) and reviewing it using the hashtag #AmazonVideoClub on Twitter every week- meaning everyone is free to join in, watch along and have their two cents about the latest viewings! Pretty cool huh? And it certainly gives me a reason to finally tune in too! Huzzah!
So, as well as tucking in to some service originals (I’ve already fallen a little in love with Red Oaks and the amazing ’80s costumes), I’ve dug out past favourites featuring a certain Mr Hugh Grant (About A Boy anyone?), some Disney classics (forever not crying at Up)- and some more series’ I’ve been dying to watch for ages (lookin’ at you, Downton). So, if you fancy getting involved (and getting inspired by a retro-style cyber book style club) then head over to #AmazonVideoClub and I’ll see you there! Plus, if you’re lucky enough to be a student you can start a trial here too!
P.S Tune in on the 29th too, where I’ll be offering some of my top tips on staying up to date with the ol’ box, and how I’ve found the shows!
