For day 4 of Giftmas, we’re celebrating baby’s first Christmas and picking up a small something for your little one…

Since becoming a mama this year and discovering so many gorgeous brands for tiny ones, it seemed impossible to not include a small selection of my favourites to help inspire any present buying for any little humans in your life. Starting with all things personalised, I absolutely love both the gorgeous banners Knits for Nina makes (we hang this on his bedroom door)- as well as the now iconic Little Worne Store personalised knits; which although fly out like hot cakes make for such a special gift and keepsake (just make sure to set a reminder on your phone)! There’s also Mou Mou’s personalised baubles which would be such a lovely gift, and the perfect tree deccie for baby’s first Christmas.

In terms of clothes, I also included this festive sleep suit from Sleepy Doe (who do the most precious baby PJs; with this ski scene being a favourite), which was picked up via West Stanton; another brilliant small business who stock the most gorgeous baby brands and make picking up a gift the easiest job in the world. Also, how could I not include the new Fan Club vests?! With Arlo being a solid Bacara fan this had me at hello, but they also have a handful of other great ones (in case your baba might be more of a Bowie baby) and the loveliest prints too which also look gorgeous framed for a nursery. Other favourite keepsakes include this Month of Sundays baby journal which would make a beautiful gift for new parents (even better if you wanted to print a few photos to help get them started) and this Frances Costelloe print– another excellent one for any little bedrooms. Finally, for any stocking fillers I love the idea of picking up vintage, or your childhood favourite books (there’s a LOT of Paddington and Judith Kerr in this house); because if in doubt, I truly don’t think you can go far wrong with a beautiful book.

Some other lovely businesses for minis to mamas…

  • Because vintage isn’t just for grown ups: A bit like shopping for myself (ahem), there are few things as satisfying as a vintage gem- and even better when it’s tiny! Be Diddy, Les Petites Champignons, Mags & Moo and Petit Pays are some of my favourite spots to discover vintage for bubbas.
  • The kind of clothes you’d quite like in grown up sizes too: When it comes to brands that I find myself scrolling through going ‘WHY IS THIS NOT A SIZE 8 PLEASE?!’ I’m always head over heels for Nellie Quats (two words: Liberty print), Georgie Murton for beautiful printed rompers, Freya Lillie (who actually do a ‘mummy and me’ collection), To Be Young, Ando Store, Claude and Co, Dream On (the coolest t-shirts) and Misha & Puff too.
  • The best all-round baby stores: If you just want a little scrolling inspiration my first stops are always Kidly, Junior Edition, West Stanton, Smallable, Alice and Friends. Co and Luna and Curious.
  • If they already have enough red and blue plastic: (No shade, plastic toys)! But a subscription to Whirli would make for an amazing gift. It’s a toy swap subscription service, so you pick some toys- keep them until they may outgrow or lose interest in them, and then swap them for something new- no waste, and new loveliness that keeps on giving. For clothes, Bundlee also offer a similar service which is fab too!
  •  For little extras: Other gorgeous gift ideas I love include some dinky hair bows from Evie Michelle, Wolf Noodle for gorgeous prints, Bundle + Bo for muslins, Jennie and Company for heirloom dolls, and Josie Bulmer Designs for the sweetest name flags. Hannah Hall also does beautiful hand embroidery, which you could also commission on a small set too.
  • And for mama…: Aside from the gift of time, a home cooked meal or the offer to run her a bath whilst you have a baby cuddle; I also love these gift boxes from Markham & Co. which make for the loveliest letterbox delivery. For any to-be mama’s in your life, the Positive Birth Co. courses are fantastic, and so comforting and knowledgable for this magical new chapter too.

…and if you still need some more ideas!

Come back tomorrow for day 5 of Giftmas, for your best pal!

x
