The Spring Playlist

Oh, hello! I’d say ‘It’s that time again!’ but appreciate it’s been a hot minute since I shared a monthly playlist over here; but here we are, tip-toeing into summer and balmier (or just cloudy) evenings, and I present to you the spring playlist!

Now, because I’m posting on the blog once a week, I thought rather than share monthly playlists, I thought I’d curate one seasonal playlist with a curation of my favourite picks from the monthly listens (they’re still all available to listen to over here), but felt like this made a little more sense. This month, as ever, is a bit of a cocktail of dad pop (a.k.a the most important kind), songs I discovered ‘like yesterday’ (Everywhere I Go by Cat Clyde is a true slice of magic) and songs I will inevitably spend the whole of June dancing to (Pearl Charles I’m lookin’ at you). I hope you enjoy listening, and as ever please share any (or all) the favourites I’ve missed)!

1. Jessie Ware – Begin Again, 2. Pearl Charles – Only For Tonight, 3. Electric Light Orchestra – Livin’ Thing, 4. The Drifters – This Magic Moment, 5. Courtney Bartnett – History Eraser, 6. Laura Marling – New Romantic, 7. David Bowie – Modern Love, 8. Cat Clyde – Everywhere I Go, 9. Nina Simone – Ain’t Got No / I Got Life, 10. Bob Dylan – Buckets Of Rain, 11. Faces – Ooh La La, 12. Love Affair – Bringing On Back The Good Times, 13. First Aid Kit – Fallen Snow, 14. The Lemon Twigs – Everyday Is The Worst Day Of My Life, 15. Van Morrison – Into The Mystic, 16. Alex Cameron – Far From Born Again, 17. Thundercat / Tame Impala – No More Lies, 18. Paramore – Caught In The Middle, 19. HalfNoise – Baby, 20. The Cure – Just Like Heaven, 21.
