…even if they *do* need some bloody socks
Being my fourth year of these guides- I think I’ve *finally* tackled buying gifts for guys, or at least coming up with some half decent suggestions (without resorting to pants/socks/hip flasks- cross as appropriate). It’s hard to not fall into total cliches, but like shopping for anyone- taking note of the things that person likes, hobbies or anything they might *need* is always a great starting point. For example, although Joe has ear pods, my brother and I got some for my dad last year, as they’re the kind of thing you might not necessarily pick up for yourself and always come in handy if you’re an Apple user. I’ve also included two of my favourite books from this year, with the Linda McCartney book being one of the most beautiful coffee table books for music lovers I’ve found (tickets to the exhibition in Glasgow could also be a brilliant shout). I also recently bought a Super 8 camera which Joe has taken a serious shine to, so if there’s a photography lover you know, this is a great idea (and they don’t have to cost the earth either). There are also these particularly handy (no pun intended) tech touch screen gloves, some fancy sunglasses (which, like a watch is always fail-safe if you want something special) and these skincare bits from Elemis (and a Replica fragrance which I did include last year, but I always think they’re so perfect and thoughtful). I’ve also popped some additional ideas below, including some prints (that I’d happily have at home) and some A* jim jams too…
Previous years ideas for him!
