Having only properly discovered Berlin through four hours of rapid-fire exploration and repeats of that episode of Travel Man, being able to properly get to know Berlin was top of our agenda- and doing it with one of the world’s most iconic brands felt like a total honour too.
With a magical mystery tour of the city planned on our first day, we hopped aboard the bus and began dashing from gorgeous hidden chocolate shops to uber-cool independent boutiques, including Voo and Haha (which, naturally took all of my self restraint to not leave with enough to warrant buying a second suitcase). Heading to the water front for lunch, we naturally made a beeline for the nearest Photoautomat and made ourselves very much as home with Amy, Kirsty, Joe and I pulling out our best Vogue moves with the few spare euros we could pull together.

Ending the afternoon with one of the coolest things I’ve done in Berlin, a Trabi Safari- it was easy to see why Omega had picked a city as vibrant as Berlin for the launch of the new Trésor watch. Like the city itself, the watch feels classic yet contemporary, elegant and completely stooped in history. With each watch including a special mirrored case back with a ‘Her Time’ design on the back and diamond paving around each side, it’s a truly special piece. On top of that, with the stunning Kaia Gerber being the face of the new Trésor (daughter of a certain super Cindy dontcha know who has been an Omega ambassador for over 21 years) the campaign was shot by the iconic Peter Lindbergh, and feels every bit as iconic as you’d imagine. What a family!

The tour took us across both sides of Berlin, from Unter den Linden and the beautiful opera house, the Reichstag and winding back up at Checkpoint Charlie. Discovering more about the city felt incredibly humbling and moving- and really opened my eyes about how recent and vast the cities modern history truly is. Our last stop was the asisi Panorama Berlin, a 360 exhibition of the wall itself, which really gave a moving perspective and felt like a truly touching experience for someone properly discovering the city for the first time.

But the magic wasn’t over after we got back to the hotel. Getting ready in our finest cocktail attire, we had no idea of the unforgettable evening we had in store. Heading to a mysterious venue, we’d spent all day collecting clues for a secret password, and arrived at an old super factory, which by the end of the night felt truly unrecognisable. Walking in, we had no idea about some of the unbelievable discoveries inside- and after heading upstairs (password in tow) came across rooms of surprises and installations, from a Marie Antionette-inspired dessert table, inhalable cocktails, a wonderland inspired bar and a magical garden bought inside- fairy lights, flowers and watches all included. It all felt truly otherworldly, and was the cherry on top of an incredible couple of days- and we ended the tour dancing late into the evening in one of my new favourite cities…

Post in collaboration with Omega, but all thoughts, love of these beautiful watches and Berlin all my own
