Let’s face the facts here: I have a serious affinity with the sixties. Whether it’s spending my weeknights watching Cilla and gleefully admiring the costumes, Scouse accent and the fact she was bezzies with The Beatles, or simply spending about 80% of my time wondering why my hair can’t be that of the Birkin (#thinhairprobs)- it’s certainly one of the the only trends I’ll gladly dip my toes in to when it comes to Fashion Week- the week, incidentally, I always feel extremely unfashionable- let’s face it, I’m about as edgy as a satsuma ; ).
So this season, I did what I know best- donned my finest (yet slightly messy) beehive, a polo neck fit for Bardot and my most modish monochrome and braved the cobbles as if I had the finest blanket coat the world had ever seen on. Plus it was all from high street haven, New Look, which although probably ain’t where Cilla bought her garb- did a mighty fine job of ticking the trend box- thanks New Look for helping me feel truly on trend this season (you can also check our their coverage here!
