A year full time and city guides a-plenty, my first venture into YouTube and a baby puppy addition- 2014 was an exciting one!

The Holiday Packing Post!

Packing Post Holiday Guide

It’s that time of the year again! Whether you’re flying across the pond, hitting Spanish sands, taking a stay-cation or even camping in the garden (in which case this may be a tiny bit elaborate- but hey, you can never be too prepared)- I’ve decided to put together a tiny packing post to help get you started for any trips you may have planned! Plus, I’d also love to hear any tips you have for making the dreaded packing process all the smoother! Happy Holidays!

The Travel Minis:

There’s a reason why these little bad boys pack such a big punch on holiday- who can fit in three shampoo bottles literally as long as your leg? There’s so many brands that have made seriously awesome travel sets this year (which come in super handy carry-on clear cases) such as REN (packed with shampoos, conditioners and cleansing waters), Clarins (with some seriously desiable skincare) and Aromatherapy Assosiates– which tick off all of the relaxing body treatments! Plus, at a fraction of their normal price, are a great way to sample hotly coveted beauty products, without having to lug your beauty cupboard with you on holibobs- huzzah! Plus, how adorable is this make up bag? Way to perk up a bad hair/face day!

The Obviously-Essentials:

Wherever you’re heading a sassy swimsuit and sunhat is ever necessary- and the more it makes you feel like Amy Adams the better, meaning this Agent Provacateur swimsuit is the most timeless and beautiful swimwear piece I’m sure I’ll ever own- plus being high waisted means it’ll look absolutely rad with some pin-up style high waisted shorts- phwoar! I’ll also be packing some staple flip flops from Gandys– which were my holiday go-to last year (as well as being super cute, 10% of sales go to an amazing cause- which you can read about here)- plus they also have a Liberty collection- which I strongly recommend you have a nosey at. Finally- don’t forget your passport, and make it all the more memorable if it’s in a cute personalised holder- you won’t want to leave it at home when it looks this cute (or, so, y’know- you don’t miss the plane).

The Collect-All-Year-Rounders:
Okay, so these are kind of an extension of the holiday minis I mentioned above- but most of these were freebies or things I’ve just kept handy from the year. You know those magazine mini perfumes they tuck inside the pages? Amazing! Keep ’em and keep fresh without a big bottle. Free lip balms with your magazine? Hold on to them and throw them in your hand luggage, you’ll be laughing when you realise you haven’t spent a single extra penny. Plus, if you’re a nervy-b flyer like me invest in a bloody good deodrant- I saw this ‘Stress protect’ one in Sainsbo’s and it seems to do the job (TMI?).

The Memory Makers:
For goodness sake, don’t forget the camera! If you’re taking 4 disposables for surprises when you get hoe, or taking your special DSLR- make sure it’s charged, loaded with an empty SD card and ready to go. I’m also trying to get back into some digital photograph after using it on holiday last year, so may even be taking my OM10 with me too- after all, who needs to waste time on holiday deleting snaps when you can be making memories in an instant?
