As much as I love taking inspiration from eras like the sixties and seventies, it’s still key for me to not look like I’m in a fancy dress costume (trust me, there have been occasions I’ve looked like an American Hustle extra and had to head back to the drawing board)- so venturing out in a flared jumpsuit meant some serious thinking beforehand and toning things down a little.
In the end I opted for a subtle white tee and sandal combination (asking the questions ‘What would Natalie Off Duty do?-
isn’t that girl just the coolest?) But trust me, flares are all fun and games until it rains- and unless you’re dancing at a festival- sitting on a London bus with soaked trousers ain’t all that fun- meaning perhaps I’m a little short for this flares thing? Either way, having my hair done by Blow Ltd at The Apartment meant I happily sauntered around feeling like one of The Pierces- which is definitely something I could get used to…
