It’s safe to say I’ve found dressing for this weather a little tricky (‘yes, it’s just you Liv’- I hear you scream). Perhaps it’s the fact the only time this hat comes away from my head is when I’m in the bath, or when an unfortunate gust blows it off, and the fact most of my floral or pastel dresses simply don’t quite cater for 180 denier tights- but I’m starting to feel ready for Spring. Laughably, there was a time last Summer where I genuinely (and romantically) thought ‘Ah, how I can’t wait to wear tights and jumpers and layers again’- that’s cute Liv. I promise to never say such a thing again- and it’s safe to say I’ll be burning all of my tights the second the temperature hits twenty degrees (okay, not quite- but you get the jist).
Either way, this outfit was something a little braver for me. Yes, I said brave. I justified it by playing the ‘I know I’m dressed as an art teacher card (nothing wrong with that, arty ones)’- but I guess I had more of a Stevie Nicks look in mind, opposed to an easel wielding creative type, but regardless- I’ve now ‘braved’ the light shoes and dark tights and floral midi look, and perhaps it’s not all too bad on me after all.
