From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

Winter florals

(Hat: ASOS, Jacket: C/O Lavish Alice, Dress: The Whitepepper, Bag: C/O Baia, Boots: Old but similar here, Necklace: C/O Minetta)

Whitepepper, Whitepepper, Whitepepper- oh how I love thee. I could easily sing songs of praise about their perfect smock dresses (and metallic unicorn clutches) until the cows come home (or my next day order arrives) and it seems like a routinely occurrence that every other month a new dress of theirs appears on here. So, like all of their perfect dresses- the second I saw this embroidered smock, I was pretty certain I needed to give it a home. It’s thick enough that it qualifies as a winter dress, paired with tights it doesn’t look daft, the detailing is absolutely beautiful- and guess what? It matches my new Lavish Alice bomber jacket.

There’s no doubt this outfit takes coordinating to the next level, but having spotted this print in a few shops since The Whitepepper released the dress this summer I couldn’t resist pulling a bit of a double whammy- and amazingly, I don’t think it’s too much. Toned down with some favourite burgundy accessories (if only this print came in a hat…) it made for the perfect wintery outfit (with thick black coat just out of shot, of course).
