From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

Sit atop the Eiffel in your mind, if you’re not happy wearing denim, you’re a devil in disguise

In this weather, whether it’s snowing, rainy, blustery or plain frosty- it can be hard to drive oneself outside in a t shirt for the sake of an outfit photograph (not even these posing skills will hide my chill). Especially when your ‘outfit of the day’ is consistent of a new favourite light jersey t shirt and rolled up jeans- not always weather appropriate without a chunky fleece thing/fur blanket/sensible jacket. But hey, if it’s what I wore than it’s what I wore- we’re all friends here!

So I thought- why not stay indoors? Although I’m not the biggest fan of snapping my outfits in doors (let’s say my room is a little cosy at times) and there aren’t many hip white or edgy brick walls in this residence, but what’s wrong with a one off awkward-behind-the-door snap? Even if it does mean leaning to no end and tactfully hiding the Malteaser Easter eggs that adorn my bookshelves – oops! I even managed to snap a sassy sock snap to compensate for the lack of a whole outfit- I know, I know I spoil you guys. But you know what, it certainly wasn’t so bad after all…
Whilst I was snuggled up in doors, I also snapped a few areas of my room I particularly like as a some what ‘mini-room tour’ including my Big Ben bargain lamp, selection of magazines (plus my favourite ever i-D cover), some of my favourite prints from Emma Block and a selection of my favourite jewellery. Additionally, I’m also offering the above collar from JuliaHeartsU and set of Emma Block ‘Icons’ prints to you lovely lot as a mini ‘thank you’ for sticking around! You have two weeks to enter, and it’s open internationally! Good luck.
