As the colder months roll in, an oversized fluffy knit and a pair of worn in jeans seem to be my ultimate go to- and teamed with a bowler or fedora makes for a pretty simple autumn outfit. This jumper is another piece from my favourite Olive Clothing (who excitingly interviewed me for their blog here) and is now a solid staple in both mine and my mums winter wardrobes. Additionally, I ended up wearing this outfit to a black tie and cocktail dress event on Wednesday (I didn’t know, I promise) and no one batted an eye lid- cosy AND versatile!
Anyway, I wore this when out street style snapping with my best lady Gemma last week. Additionally, we also spent a comfortable majority of the day diving in and out of some seriously tasty ‘eateries’ from East to West London- and it’s safe to say I went home feeling comfortable full, and extremely spoiled- yum! I decided to snap some of the amazing food I tried (never before seen on Instagram…kind of) and share some places with you. Have you got any go-to places to eat? I’d love to know!
Kahalia Cafe- Brick Lane
After running in to hide from the rain, we ended up grabbing some lunch here- and it was amazing. I opted for a parma ham, mozzarella and rocket ciabatta with Earl Grey on the side, which pretty much equates to my dream lunch. With fresh cakes and sandwiches all created using fresh local produce- it’s certainly somewhere for a guilt free treat.
The Vintage Emporium Cafe- Brick Lane
After scouring Brick Lane for savoury snacks, we had to pop into this gorgeous vintage Victorian inspired tea rooms for some ‘lunch-desert’ and indulged in a slice of brownie and whipped cream, which was delicious- although we were spoilt for choice by the scones, and other cakes and teas on offer! Additionally, we were joined by the resident fluffy pooch and some pretty stunning interior decorations, bon appetit!
Honest Burgers- Soho
After pretty much giving myself the title of resident ‘try-all-the-branches-and-eat-the-same-thing’ at Byron, I couldn’t help but become a little excited to try a new burger joint in the capital. After reading some pretty amazing reviews online, and hearing you could grab a burger, fries and home made lemonade all for ten fine British pounds- I was one happy lady. Opting for the burger (really?) with rosemary salt chips and some of the most amazing lemonade ever- it was the perfect final stop of a pretty lovely day! (although do get there early, with about 10 tables, it fills up pretty quickly!)
