When in New York, as cliché as it sounds, a fairy like tutu, special heels (Manolo’s not necessary) and a block of towering apartments can only equate to one having what can only be described as a ‘Carrie’ moment, and surely it’d be rude not to when in Ms Bradshaw’s humble neighbourhood? This Alexandra Grecco number makes feeling festive (and like an extra from SATC) extremely easy, plus- after stumbling across some beautiful Nutcracker inspired window displays on Madison Avenue- I felt suitably ready for the Christmas tree and to get practising my demi plié ; )!
On top of that, last week I was lucky enough to see The Nutcracker on it’s opening evening in London with the gorgeous ladies at Clinique (I can’t quite believe it either), and since then I’ve become slightly infatuated with the idea of ballet once again (the last time I did it, I was 3 and dragged my nan on to the floor to do it with me as I hated doing it alone…ahem). But somehow now wish my mum had been more of a ‘pushy parent’ and kept me at it- as I’ve pretty much never been in so much awe as I was on the evening- and have since listened to Tchaikovsky more than Wham and may have to keep this tutu as a firm wardrobe staple for more than just special occasions…
Anyway- being Christmas Eve and all, I thought I’d wish you all a very Merry Christmas- and thank you so, so much for sticking around to read this little corner of the ‘net and follow me on to the world of Youtube. I have a few more posts before the New Year (including a year review post)- so you can expect them in a few days time, and after I’ve indulged in more terrible cracker jokes than should be allowed! Have a lovely one!
