From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

5 Minutes With…: Suki Alice Waterhouse

(Image taken from www.sukialice.com)

At 20 years old Suki Waterhouse is quite something (and being 19 myself, arguably the girl I would have wanted to be had I gone to school with her). With her big brown doe eyes, tousled blonde locks and a certain eye for perfectly nostalgic colourful school-girl style (think cool suits, floaty dresses and a perfectly kept pair of Russell & Bromley loafers), there’s no wonder she’s already doing so well- oh, and she’s a hugely successful model, did I mention?

But it doesn’t stop there, this girl can sing. She knows her music, her photography, and her style- and I for one can only describe her as my newest girl crush. I caught up with her in a cheeky ‘Twinterview’ (Twitter? Interview? Geddit?) and find out a little bit more about London’s favourite new face…

How would you describe your everyday style?
Describe it as a 60’s swinger/cave woman or japanese school girl going to a Alice in wonderland tea party.

What’s the most worn thing in your wardrobe?
A small hoop I nicked off my sister.

Who, or what inspires your style?
Jane birkin, David Bowie, Lou doillon more currently. I love marriane faithfuls and Pattie boyds style back in the day. Other than that it’s everything about me, people on the street, films… I just saw Gigola and Lou is stunning throughout.

If you could go back in time where would you go?
I’d go back and watch a Jimi Hendrix concert and I’d have a full on outfit on!

What is the most important lesson you’ve been taught so far?
That you should be careful with what you share with strangers. I’m not good at this one, I’m very open and want to trust everyone!

Favourite place to shop?
Dover St Market and Berlin.

Where’s your favourite place to find vintage treasures?
Berlin or Stoke Newington high street in London!

suki3

Biggest fashion disaster?
Too many!

What’s been the most surreal career experience for you to date?
Probably being around Kate Moss a few times- I guess that’s pretty surreal…
