From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

I’d like to be, under the sea, in an Octopuses garden with you

I guess you could say this post contains two of my favourite things; a good pair of jeans and excellent cream tea, both of which can arguably be hard to come by, but once found is certainly worth it.

If you’ve read my blog for any period of time, you’ll probably be aware of my great fondness of jeans and printed trousers. Not being a huge lover of my legs, being able to cover them up and still feel comfortable and (relatively) well dressed is something of a welcome bonus, especially when looking for the perfect pair of trousers. So, when Los Angeles based Paige Denim got in touch offering a pair of their black polka dot jeans, I couldn’t resist (although ordering jeans without trying them on first was a little scary!) However, upon trying them on I was blown away by their perfect fit (incredibly true to size, with added stretch) and couldn’t wait to try them on with my favourite minty jumper and added ice cream necklace (hey, if it’s too cold to eat it- wear it!)

I also headed out to a gorgeous boutique-cum-tea room near my home, called Annabel’s (one of two shops in the area). The shop is filled with gorgeous homeware pieces, amazing jewellery, gifts and accessories with a beautiful quaint tea room tucked away at the back. With tables dressed to challenge even that of the poshest London hotels, and stocked with a huge variety of loose leaf teas, freshly baked floaty cakes and scones, all with an array of colour coordinated crockery adorning the shelves- this little place is one to watch, and you can guarantee you will leave feeling satisfied (and maybe even with a new tea set!)
