Yesterday I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of travelling down (or across Jazmine?) to Kent’s very own Lounge on the Farm Festival, to join Jazmine and the Cath Kidston ladies in their 2012 festival tour. Despite this weeks unfortunate weather, we were lucky enough to be blessed with grey fluffy clouds and the occasional burst of hot sunshine, meaning my festival outfit was often a little too warm- but that this cool white shirt (with British coasts embroided on) and cat eyed sunnies were the perfect summery touch.
We had a lovely afternoon, and with the festival hosting a wide variety of amazing foodie stands (no fried kebabs here- or at least not many!) from organic burgers, more falafels than you could fill a hundred pittas with, a tea and cake tent AND a Pizza Express stand, I was in foodie heaven. Following an indulgent pizza, doughballs and Victoria sponge we made a beeline for the Cath Kidston camper van, laden with floral prints, adorable home ware and some of the friendliest ladies around; we spent the time chatting, applying temporary tattoos and making mental wish lists of the goodies surrounding us (and maybe taking a few silly pictures in the ‘face-in-hole’ board!)
Having taken more pictures than my memory card could hold, used the V.I.P loos (far too exciting) and avoided the dance cube tent like the plague (no one should ever have to see me cut shapes) the evening ended with a performance by one of my favourite current bands, Spector. Having seen them several times previously, I could feel nothing but excitement knowing the next 45 minutes would be filled with witty anecdotes, cheeky one liners and some pretty damn catchy songs; courtesy of Fred and the ‘gang’. They certainly didn’t dissapoint, and although tired, I spent the train home feeling like one very satisfied lady.
