It’s only in the past couple of years that I’ve been able to hop on a plane more than once every twelve months, but being able to see more of the world, be it for 24 hours, or a few days- is something I’ve become pretty infatuated with- even if flying still isn’t my forte and the result of travel does take it’s toll on my skin a little. So, to tie in with Clinique’s new Face Forward campaign, and a focus of setting goals- mine being to tick off a small, but exciting, list of travel destinations) and facing forward with confidence (with great skin to boot)- I’ve been turning to their 3 step cleanse to help banish the tired look that usually comes as an involuntary travel add on, and in complete honesty- have been pretty impressed with the results too.
With the 3-step built from a gentle foaming soap cleanser (suited to your skin complaints, with my primary concern being dryness), clarifying lotion and finally, their infamous Dramatically Different moisturiser– it’s ensured that my skin is not only hydrated and bright during even the most jet lagged mornings, but clear and the perfect base for make up too- not bad for something so straightforward, right? Anyway- time to get making goals…
…As some of you may have read on my ’25 before 25′ post, one of my goals was to travel a little more. This year I’ve been lucky enough to travel a fair bit in the name of work (which makes me feel like the luckiest lady indeed), and also manage to squeeze in a holiday to the Big Apple too- which definitely flew by all too quickly. However, saying that, every time I visit somewhere new it certainly motivates me to be able to do it all again- I mean, there are few feelings as satisfying as the letting the grand old holiday countdown begin, right? My goal, and motivation behind the campaign, is to visit more of Europe, Greece in particular! There’s something about the beautiful architecture, quaint white washed cubist villages, perched atop of stooping hills and the contrast of rich blue seas…Dreamy!
I’m determined to see (and snap) it all in person, create exciting travel guides and maybe even give some kind of retreat a go too- there’s nothing like facing forward when the result is something relaxing, and rewarding- surely? By saving my pennies (no unnecessary taxi rides, shopping or naughty online orders), trying to be savvy whilst browsing trips online (I’ve heard clearing cookies helps knock air-fare’s down)- I hope to hopefully make this a reality sooner rather than later, and give myself something lovely to look forward to in the next year! I’ll be making sure to keep you updated with my travel goals and skin routine as I go- best get saving and booking!
