I’ll be honest, it’s been a while since I pulled out any of my band t-shirts to take for a spin. I have a whole cupboard in my wardrobe dedicated to them (yup, I really do), from gigs I went to and collected them from since I was about 14 and channelling a fringe bigger than my love for the Bake Off. I have the ‘I Am A Horror’ tee that is now so worn the black has faded to grey, my Klaxons 12.12.12 top that I thought was cooler than any casio tape necklace and this Arctic Monkeys one that I loved so much I insisted it was sensible getting it shipped over from the U.S- in short, I don’t really do band merch by halves (perhaps this is a YouTube video waiting to happen)…
Anyway, although I do have a Morrissey top that’s stashed in this collection somewhere, when I saw this jumper by knitwear brand Hades, I was pretty set on putting in an order. Coming from their debut collection ‘Some girls are bigger than others’, each knit is designed and produced in the UK- with the other pieces shining light on other favourite artists, including Sonic Youth, The Slits and Patti Smith. Someone stop me…(if you think you’ve heard this one before).
