It was only the other day when chatting to Joe that I realised we’d yet to pay a visit to the great British seaside this year. Normally by August there’d have been at least a Brighton visit, but with the Great Escape escaping our calendar this year- it seems we’ve gone quite a time without heading to the coast! So, on one of our rare sunny Saturday’s (and after finally getting over a naughty chest infection)- we headed down to Margate on a glorious Southeastern train, with our sunnies, reading material and the excitement of seaside chips all ready to go…
So naturally, I pretended to be Farrah Fawcett (with finer hair, duh) in a boyfriend style slogan tee (Matthew McConaughey reference et al) and my favourite girlfriend jeans, all I felt I needed was a skateboard and even flickier hair and I would have been set. Plus, for once I underestimated the weather and could have definitely whipped the shorts out- maybe for our next beach visit. Either way- catching up with my good pal Charlotte, scoffing my first Swedish brunch (!!) and playing at Dreamland made for a pretty special Saturday- I definitely won’t leave it so long next time!
