Let’s be honest- this post should have been called 50 Shades of Pink- and I’m absolutely happy about that. With this winters wardrobe boasting a number of sugary pastels opposed to my standard Autumnal leafy burgundies and beiges- it’s a refreshing take on winter dressing for me, and certainly means I have a little more fun with my wardrobe (even if that doesn’t always mean it’s easy to match my surroundings ; )! In addition to my layered summer shades (this blouse came straight from Mama P’s wardrobe), I’d also like to introduce you to a couple of new additions to my wardrobe, as part of a super exciting collaboration with FarFetch…
Now, when it comes to designer items- I tend to chose my picks very carefully. I’m not one to necessarily follow trends, and certainly can’t afford to indulge in the latest ‘it’ item as and when it lands- so being considered, as well as finding the balance of my love of things a little novelty and playful- can be a little tricky if I want things to have longevity. But queue these Mid-Century kitty flats and a bag I’m sure you’re all too familiar with, the Chloe Drew- two pieces I’m excited to play with for seasons to come.
I’m already a huuuge Charlotte Olympia fan, so adding a pair of more neutral flats to my collection of hers was extremely exciting- plus I know these will be amazing with pale denim in the summer, and light dresses when (lol, if) the weather warms a little. For now these shoes make for the perfect ‘ballet flat’ alternative, with the pointed toe making them a little more special and more ‘evening’ for the festive season- and paired with this little disco-inspired bag (because gold is a neutral, right? RIGHT?) I felt fully set for the countdown to Christmas- and can’t wait to pair this dinky bag with some favourite simple dresses and striped numbers for day to night dressing. See you on tha dancefloor!
