After arriving into New York on Wednesday morning, strolling around Soho in the late afternoon sunshine, doing a bit of shopping (Madewell happened, and oh please will they come to the U.K) and then retreating to the hotel with a big old takeaway pizza (read: my idea of total heaven)- Joe and I set off relatively bright and early (oh hiya, jet lag) for a day in Brooklyn- an area we’d only briefly visited during our last visit, but loved nonetheless!
With a plan of walking across the Brooklyn Bridge and an afternoon on Coney Island on the agenda, we sadly weren’t blessed with the blue skies of the previous day- but the cooler temperature (and, ahem, cool drizzle) meant it was suitably refreshing for a day on our feet. After trekking across the bridge (and stopping for numerous tourist photos), Joe and I headed across to Dumbo, after putting it near the top of our ‘to visit’ list whilst across the river. After getting distracted by a stationary shop fuelled by Pinterest goodness and Rifle Paper Co. (which will of course be in a guide coming up), we snapped some pictures (with this River Island dress equating to ‘inbetweeny weather dress of dreams, and these Office bad boys being so damn comfy) before hot footing our way to the subway and making tracks to Coney Island (to be continued in my next post, dun dun duuuun)…
P.S I’ve also got a blog of the whole trip on my Youtube channel, so if you can’t wait for each post, head on over there!
