From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

When it comes to Christmas parties, I’m more of an ‘add a bit of glitter/Christmas jumper’ to my normal look kind of gal- as opposed to ‘buy a brand new slinky number chick’ (not that I discourage a slinky number at this time of year ladies- stay tuned for something later this week). So, for the Boohoo #Dressmas campaign this year, I opted for something a little bit more relaxed, and certainly something I knew I would wear again (read: a fluffy jumper and fifties inspired skirt).

After spying this coat in Urban Outfitters whilst visiting Cardiff a couple of weeks ago, I hot footed it to the checkout and claimed it as my own (it’s what sales do to you)- plus, the girl serving me said it looked like something you’d wear ‘ice skating in New York’ (as if I needed any more persuasion). So, with this coat, the perfect PU midi skirt and fluffy jumper- my Christmas party outfit was born (obviously with the addition of a glitter clutch, delicate jewellery and elf style courts)- and if it’s this easy to do the party look, then heck, may every day be a party.
