From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

Then in flies a guy who’s all dressed up just like a Union Jack

(Coat: Zara (in sale), Top: Whistles, Jeans: Miss Selfridge, Glasses: ASOS, Shoes: Vintage, Clutch: Whistles)

Although these photographs were taken a few weeks ago (I know, I know), it seems this outfit is without a doubt one of my favourite things to go to- simple denim and clean basics, with a light statement coat (with this one indefinitely having me at hello across the shiny Zara shop floor). Snapped during my most recent trip to Liverpool with the two musketeers that go by the names of Jazmine and Rebecca, I couldn’t help but stop for a bit of goofing about (I hear the tree monkey pose is on par with ‘check’ as a big trend, you know)…

Anyway, after traipsing around the city centre, avoiding dragging everybody back to The Quarter for my favourite pasta, stopping for the inevitable Leaf lunch and enjoying some brief but lovely conversation with some of my favourite Whistles ladies- we headed home; via St George’s Hall, and it’s beautiful cobbled front. Lined with Spring green trees, regal lamp posts and a sunny afternoon glow- arguably resembling a tiny corner of Paris, or a miniature stretch near Concorde- it was the perfect way to enjoy the city in all of its post 4 o’clock glory.

and here’s what I wore…
