From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

(Dress: MINKPINK @ Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Mellow Yellow C/O Sarenza, Sunglasses: C/O Sunglasses Shop)

Working for them, maybe I’m biased, or maybe I’m just fond of a tea dress but this MINKPINK number ticks a lot of the boxes- and is the perfect partner for a sunny Sunday stroll. Although I was initially a little nervous of a neckline that wasn’t cut to my neck (attractive, I know), and a shape that couldn’t double up as maternity wear (and you call mine a fashion blog?) I am completely in love with this ‘In Bloom’ dress. Not only does it make me feel…ladylike but the print is blooming gorgeous (no floral cliches here), and I can’t wait to pair it with an over sized floppy sun hat and little sandals come my summer holiday…

Additionally, at the moment, when my fedora is taking its few days annual leave-
sunglasses are my next go to head (and face) accessory (nothing gives hair volume like a pair of sunnies perched on ones head, I tell ya). Plus, for a girl that isn’t overly adventurous when it comes to accessorising, they’re pretty fail safe. So, you can only imagine my sheer delight (understatement or what?) when these Miu Miu Sunglasses entered my life from the wonderful Sunglasses Shop- who have more variety than a packet of Christmas biscuit boxes, including those glittery Miu Miu sunnies. Dreamy. Plus, it’s safe to say that if there’s one way to ease my way in to the Jackie O/Hepburn bracket it’s with a pair of these, right? Right.
