Arriving early afternoon, clad in warm boots and arguably less weatherproof clothing than was appropriate (or so we would later find out) we headed straight for the Dance tent to catch Grimes, before cosying up in the Festival Republic tent with Nottingham’s finest Jake Bugg and Dog is Dead. After enjoying some warm-up sing a long’s and a reminiscent stay at Enter Shikari’s set, we went in search of some tea time snacks (a pre main stage feast if you will) and dined on tasty pizza as The Vaccines began. Following their set we moved in for our last act of the day (damn you last train!) Florence and The Machine, who despite being soaked through (both her, and us) was amazing- I may have even shed a tiny tear…
