A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

Ladies behind the sidebar: July 2012

Every month on ‘What Olivia Did’ I take on a series of adverts and sponsors on my sidebar, all of which are ladies behind some serious gorgeous blogs or businesses. Having never done this before, I thought it’d be nice to start introducing my monthly ads on my blog, so you can get to know them better and what they do!

So without further ado, meet my July ads…

You may have seen this gorgeous online shop featured in several of my previous posts; but just in case you haven’t, Ever Ours are a cute-as-a-button online boutique. Run by the gorgeous Kim, the shop stocks adorable jewellery (moustaches aplenty), some bargainous bags and some seriously amazing clothing (think good value + Miu Miu esque prints.

With stunning outfit pictures, tales of romantic adventures and pictures of the most delicious food you could imagine- The Storybook brings you the tales of Suzi and Si, a Brighton based couple blogging about their ‘memories, experiences thoughts and feelings’ and documenting the beginning of their life together. All together now *awwwwh!*

Inspired by fashion, photography, interiors and people, Laura’s gorgeous blog brings up to date listings of the most covetable pieces, some seriously striking outfit pictures, photographic updates of her daily adventures and some amazing hints and tips as to the best places to eat and see. Having met the lady herself at this years fashion week, I can confirm her as lovely as her blog presents- go go go!

Cathy from My Pinktastic Life is a super talented make up blogger, and as well as showcasing some of her amazingly experimental and flawless looks, reviews some of her favourite beauty discoveries from across the pond! From monthly favourites, to some of the coolest eye looks I’ve come across, this girl is one to definitely check out.

Founded by the incredibly talented Amy He, Mod Dolly was born in 2010 for modern girls who ‘like to be a little playful in their everyday styling’. Inspired by eras gone by, the pieces channel a modern twist on classic looks, each item carefully handmade and designed to be worn with love. This month, the Mod Dolly websites relaunches and will feature a (stunning) limited collection- too good to miss out on!

Created using unique charms, stunning gem stones, pretty beads and colourful feathers, the shop stocks everything from rings to pendants- all for under £20 (with orders over £15 receiving a free gift- hurrah!) I adore the gold bead necklaces and ring trios…

If there’s something I love; it’s experimental style and 23 year old Lucy is one that has it down to a tee. From the most gorgeous printed trousers, to girlie dresses, classic stripes and distressed denim- I’m pretty sure this girl looks good in everything! You can also spot reviews, current purchases, gorgeous snaps of her day-to-day doings and well, things Lucy M Loves.

A French manufactured shoe shop, born only in 2011, with some absolutely gorgeous limited edition leather shoes in an array of beautiful bright colours (I’m in love with the contrast pink ballerina flats!). Written by gorgeous Scottish born Paula, ‘I’d go to hell for a pice of Chanel’ is the blog of a girl ‘with a passion for fashion, but an even bigger passion for a good bargain’. Posting everything from the hottest high street news and buys, outfit and beauty posts (the girl has the coolest nails) and daily ‘shoe porn’ this blog should be on every girls bookmark list, certainly one to watch.

Online boutique, Vintage Style Me stocks a huge range of unique hand picked vintage items, made to be affordable, wearable, and accessible- with pieces all the way from the 1940s to the 1990s. Not only are the pieces well priced, but with garments for both men and women (as well as a whole host of accessories on offer) there will always be something to satisfy your vintage cravings!

Rhiannon’s blog focusses on her musings of ‘fashion, art, music and sparkly things’ and anything she find interesting. Introducing brand spanking new music, hot new brands, the coolest models (who knew Agy Deyn’s sister was with Select?!) and some seriously bad-ass nail art, Rhiannon offers a little something extra in the sea of fashion blogs and I can’t get enough of it.
