From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

Another rose wilts in East Harlem

(Top: Topshop, Shorts: 18 and East, Shoes: Topshop)

Out of all the new emerging online boutiques and shops, I can honestly say that 18 and East are one of my favourites. Having followed them since my post on them here, and spotting them at Bella Sorella on my mini trip to Essex; their gorgeous prints (from beautiful birds to delicate florals), interesting shapes ranging from waterfall to cut-out always keep me hitting their ‘What’s New’ button.

Cheekily, this outfit was snapped a little while ago now, when storms were swapped for sunshine, and having both my arms and legs out was acceptable (this week has seen the return of my tartan scarf- yes, really). I have been so excited to wear these shorts again, and have been thinking about teaming them with a loose white blouse, denim shirt or a contrasting black band tee. Additionally, I am in love with the china print (seems perfect for a girl who is so in love with afternoon tea, and therefore beautiful crockery) and the delicate scalloped edges give that perfect unfussy detail, just enough with the print in hand.
