Postcards from Paris

Seeing as it had been several years since I’d last visited the city of lights, I’m sure you can imagine that I got a bit snap happy when I went over there last week (put it this way, there was a lot of ‘un, deux, trois- FROMAGE!’ from me)…

Having just got back from Menorca, it felt very surreal to be zipping off again (not to mention the mum guilt, but that’s definitely one for another day). Despite that, there’s only so much excitement about crusty baguettes, fresh pastries and the most perfect accent that can be contained- so it’s safe to say I was pretty excited indeed.

Heading over with Longchamp to celebrate their newest ‘Les Filles’ campaign (which you can have a nosey at here; it’s a Wes Anderson friendship inspired dream)- we made the most of our 48 hours in the city with dinner at a magical hidden French artists apartment, lunch at the iconic Rose Bakery and exploring landmarks such as the Opera Garnier, which was every bit as beautiful as you might imagine.

With our little Parisian team consisting of Sarah, Nimi and Manon– it was so lovely to explore the city and learn more about the brand with the loveliest group of women. Having been a huge fan of Longchamp for as long as I can remember (I feel like their Le Pliage bag lives in my mind rent free); learning more about their family run ethics and sustainability practises made me admire them even more (from using leather offcuts in new designs and all of their leather coming as byproducts of the meat industry, to name a couple)- it feels like a huge privilege to learn about a brand you admire, and know they’re thinking of the things you are too.

Anyway- I’m going to keep this a little shorter and diary like today. I know I’m on the brink of a big ol’ heart to heart, but today I thought I’d just bring you on a whistle stop visit to Paris and share some photos I’ve taken that I don’t want to gather too much digital dust. I’ve also scanned in a handful of gorgeous recommendations given to us from the Paris Longchamp team, so you can bookmark these for any future visits too!
