Well hello and welcome to the shiny new What Olivia Did (version 3.0)! It’s been a while hasn’t it? Well, only just a little over a week- but nothing like creating a bit of unnecessary suspense in the lead up to something exciting is there? It’s been a long time coming so I truly felt the site deserved a little bit of feet-up time before hopefully serving as a bit of a veteran for the next exciting chapter. I know this is formatted like an outfit post- but I’m also pretty excited about this pink Ganni jumper- so why not celebrate two things at once? What’s a party without a little pink?

As you can see- things are looking pretty different- and I am
so very excited about the facelift my little blog has had. After deliberating a redesign since around Christmas, it was in January I plucked up the courage to email the wonderful Sally and Ross at
Behold Studio (two extremely talented people I’ve been following for the last five or so years)- and I couldn’t be more chuffed with how everything has turned out. Not only are they completely on my page, understand my tastes and likes (Sally and I in-sync Insta DM pictures of everything from fonts to colours on the regs) but they’ve been a dream and a half to work with and knew that I wanted things to be taken up a notch without losing any of the personality and character I’m so proud to have maintained this far with What Olivia Did. They have excellent taste, ridiculously impressive work ethic and proved I made the right decision again and again. I also roped in the help of the wonderful Laura at
Cardboard Cities to help with the incredible collages you might spot around the pages, so keep your eyes peeled for those too!

Anyway, as well as a sparkly new layout you might also notice pages for
FAQ’s and
the boring bits (a.k.a all the things you might want to know about sponsors affiliates and everything in-between)- my
travel page has had a bit of a spring clean, with options to search the globe, or categorise the things you seem to like best- be it
hotel recommendations,
London picks or
quick city guides. Hopefully this is a bit cleaner and easier to navigate (and may even inspire a little more bag-packing and checking in too)!
But- back to the site! Let me tell you what’s new around here!
I’ve made archiving the golden oldies a priority, so nothing gets forgotten about and nobody puts the old content int he corner. Ahem. There’s a big old spot on the homepage with a year by year breakdown- but you’ll also now get suggestions for other old posts once you’ve finished one (so you can really soak up all my terrible hair phases- you lucky lot).

And- BIG NEWS! There’s also a
newsletter you can sign up to on the bottom of my homepage! The Sunday Duvet series will be coming in a new format (which I’m
obsessed with) so if you subscribe here it’ll ping straight into your inbox every Sunday morning before my weekly YouTube upload- so you can be totally spoilt across all formats for reading recommendations, shopping ideas and even some diary-like waffling too.
If you fancied it, I was also thinking about doing a post about the steps for a redesign (if that would be interest to anyone)- but there were definite things I took into consideration and lessons I’ve learnt about developing the perfect design for you- so let me know if you’d like to see that!
LASTLY! I hope you love the new site as much as I do. All of your support and dedication over the last 7 years has been totally unrivalled and I definitely wouldn’t be doing this if it wasn’t for you- so this is a big gushy thank you too. You’re truly the best and here’s to the next 7 (newsletters and everything else)!

Liv x
