From The Archive: 2016

The year of travel- from Aus to Africa- as well as some of my favourite ever photos, I hope 2016 brings a small dose of wanderlust (and fashion inspiration if not)!

Spring Prints For Winter

(Blouse: Warehouse, Jeans: ASOS, Bag: Lulu Guinness, Shoes: Topshop, Sunglasses (yup, no sun, I know, THAT GUY): Celine)

Of all of the outfits I could have worn during a rainy, windy and cold January Saturday- some pale denim, a floaty shirt and red suede shouldn’t have been top of my list. But they were, naturally. Impracticality seems to rank highly on my ‘what to consider when getting dressed’ list, but when I spotted this shirt online (and braved these ‘cropped’, lol, jeans again) I couldn’t help myself. But hey, what can you do? I’ve definitely learnt that for a girl my height, kick flared jeans either need to be worn with a heel as big as my head- or that I should simply just buy pedal pushers which would ultimately do the correct job. Yup. THOSE TWO WORDS WE HAVEN’T HEARD SINCE 2001.

Anyway, regardless of sartorial mishaps (a regular occurrence from the months of September-September), these snaps were taken during an afternoon playing serious tourist in our own fair city- one of my favourite past times, and not one I get to do often. As I’m planning on working on some more intensive split-up parts to London guides, Joe and I plodded up and down the Kings Road, taking notes, sampling the areas favourite hide-outs and resisting ultimate temptation in Orla Kiely (me, not Joe)- which resulted in a pretty lovely afternoon. Now, where next?
