From The Archive: 2013

With magazine placements on the side, 2013 was the last year I juggled blogging as a side gig. Things get a bit girlier in the style department too, with a lorra love for the sixties and a 'hive!

(Top £79.99, Dress £59.99 RRP £195.00 and Clutch £14.99: TK Maxx)

There’s no escaping the fact this post is a little, ahem, more dressy than my usual style. But with Christmas approaching (YES) it’s hard to refrain from getting in the party spirit, especially when all the ‘party’ collections are appearing- and with a certain Mr Gatsby known for throwing the best parties, who’s to say dressing up like you’re hitting a party on West Egg would go a miss. Not me, that’s for sure.

Anyway- if there’s one thing I know for sure; it’s that when Daisy Buchanan was looking for a (secretly) low budget look, that oozed twenties glamour, she certainly wasn’t heading to TK Maxx (I heard they hadn’t hit the town yet). However, come 2013 and the amazing new store on Covent Garden is absolutely bursting with bargains (I heard they’re up to 60% off, and have new arrivals every single day) which is where I picked out this little get-up- sequins, plus, silk, equals one happy Liv. Plus, how amazing is this art-deco style clutch? Would look right at home in a certain Jordan’s wardrobe (or Miss Welch, if we’re talking present day). TK Maxx, I am impressed (and ready to hit Gatsby’s).

This post was bought to you in collaboration with TK Maxx- but Owl Eyes has overseen it all, so know’s it is all my own opinion (and the dress is pretty swanky, too). You can also visit the new Covent Garden store at 15-17 Long Acre, Covent Garden, London, WC2E 9LH.
