From The Archive: 2012

A year of fewer questionable outfit choices, I finally found my blogging groove in 2012, and here you can find some favourite pieces, band interviews as they first appeared and a lot of hats too...

Power to Generation M

Now, I’m not really one to post promotional videos for the sake of it- or ever in fact. But the concept behind the new Canon EOS M really interested me, and the videos did not dissapoint either. To mark the launch of the new model, Canon asked five special talents (the ‘Generation M’) for their take on traditional photographic style.

Being a blogger myself, I invetibly fell in love with the video of fashion blogger Andy Torres (of Style Scrapbook fame) and her fascinating traditional use of still life photography and how she incorporates it with her style; however, my inner food conniseur (yeah, alright Liv) fell head over heels with the video of baker, Lily Vanilli.

Inspired by vibrant food based pop art, Lily visits cake and bake shops for intricate details to really make her cakes true works of art- using traditional landscape photography to help guide her along the way- and if anything, this has certainly inspired me to get back in the kitchen and create something special of my own (not to mention Andy’s gorgeous outfits, sigh!)

This is a sponsored post, but these videos are pretty damn cracking.
