The Smart Pink Jacket

After an evening spent at one of our favourite London hotels, Artist Residence in Pimlico- Joe and I hopped up bright and early to get a few shots whilst we could catch a brief moment of early spring sunshine.

With jeans hoping to be something that become a little less frequented in my wardrobe as the weather warms up (I’ve definitely become far too reliant on any kind of denim to form pretty much every outfit), I loved pairing these real grungey sky-blue kick flares from & other stories with a new favourite boxy ASOS White blazer which made for the perfect 80s-working-woman meets nineties-grunge-scene get up- pink hints, checks and all. Perhaps something Avril Lavigne might have worn to a board meeting, non? So I’d like to think anyway.

With two older staples coming in the shape of this Brandy & Melville t shirt (which, I also passed my driving test in FYI- making it the best t shirt EVER) and some go-to Chuck’s, it was the addition of this very special new bag from Mansur Gavriel that really spruced things up a little around here.

Having spotted it last year before it sold out, and then again last month on Net-A-Porter (before, you guessed it, it sold out again)- I hopped on over to their site and made an order once and for all. The taxes this side of the pond may have made me grimace a little when it finally arrived in it’s perfect pink box, but having already taking out on a number of occasions, know it’ll be the perfect addition to my glorious little bag collection- gingham, chain straps and all. Now to just start unpacking my spring wardrobe from wherever I last stored it away! White linen dresses I’m coming for ya…
