From The Archive: 2016

The year of travel- from Aus to Africa- as well as some of my favourite ever photos, I hope 2016 brings a small dose of wanderlust (and fashion inspiration if not)!

Stationery To Steal Your Heart

Ceramic dishes | Gold Pen | Clipboard | Goals Journal | Happiness Journal | Sticker Book

Because nothing says love like a new notebook, right?

Now, if you know me (or, hey, even if you don’t)- you may know, I get through, buy, and fall in love with stationery like I do a good Ryan Gosling film- and although it’s unheard of for me to ever finish a whole notebook- the joy of adding to a stationery collection (and any excuse to get organised) is pretty unrivalled (what is it with us ladies and a good notebook)? So, upon discovering the gorgeous stationery powerhouse kikki.K late last year (which is pretty much every bloggers dream), and having visited their Covent Garden store recently (you might have also spotted Carrie’s gorgeous post on the brand too), I fell head-over-heels in love. So, you can only image my sheer joy when my new favourite brand got in touch introducing their Valentine’s Love is Love campaign and inviting Joe and I into store to do a bit of seasonal shopping for each other (clue: it wasn’t hard and I leaped at the chance)!

With the brands central base being in the bustling Covent Garden, Joe and I headed down to the store and whiled away a good hour solidly browsing through their stationery selection. With items including beautiful sorbet-hued journals (ranging from Mindfulness, Happiness and Goals’ collections), recipe and food list makers, travel organisers and even folders for those important documents- it’s hard to not find something you don’t need; with my only honest qualm being that the shops baskets genuinely aren’t big enough…

… but back to Valentine’s! This year the brand have got together one of the most adorable collections I’ve seen, with beautiful minimal messages adorning the cards, and trinkets including a miniature jar filled with hearts (you can jot on reasons you love your other half on these), and mini paper chatterboxes you can complete yourself (showing you definitely don’t have to spend a fortune to pick up a thoughtful gift). If, however, you fancy celebrating love in a different way- they’ve also got a tonne of gorgeous gifts for your closest gals (let’s make Galentine’s a thing too) in case you feel like spoiling them instead.

So, what did I pick up?

Clipboard | Card | Pen | Diary | Heart Jar

For him…

Believe it or not, for a store oozing so much colour (especially in the pastel and rose gold department)- finding a more subtle gift for Joe was surprisingly simple. With a range of leather goods in grown up neutrals, and minimalistic black embossed diaries and journals, I picked up Joe this classic yearly notebook, pen and wooden clipboard (as I know he loves clipping prints on these)! On top of that, you could of course print off a soppy couple snap and pop it on the clipboard too, as a nice alternative for a photo frame!

Healthy Happy Habits | Candle

For her…

I also picked up a couple of little gifts for a couple of the ladies in my life (and had to resist doing a Supermarket Sweep style haul whilst I was at it)…! With the journals making completely perfect gifts, I ended up opting for the mini ‘habits’ box, which contained miniature versions of each, as well as the most deliciously scented candle too. Now just to try and resist keeping them all for myself and doing a ‘To me, Love me’ style scenario…

Finally (well, I got a little carried away there)- make sure you stay tuned over on my Instagram this weekend (as well as Joe’s) as we’ll be posting what we got each other in store (I know there’s a little peek here and above about Joe’s)- but I’m excited to share my surprises! Let me know if you pay a visit to the store too, as I’m on a bit of a stationery high!
