From The Archive: 2016

The year of travel- from Aus to Africa- as well as some of my favourite ever photos, I hope 2016 brings a small dose of wanderlust (and fashion inspiration if not)!

Travel Beauty Essentials

Seeing as in the next week or so I have a lot of travel content going up (all from my trip to Thailand last year- exciting)! I thought I’d pop together a little guide of my travel beauty hero pieces, as in the last few months, and across the planes, trains and automobiles- these have been the ones I’ve used most. Also- Janaury seems to be the month people start thinking about mini breaks, summer holidays and the like (never too soon) so thought I’d leave this here as a subtle nod and reminder that’s it totally ok to start looking for your next getaway…

The must-have minis…

A few of my favourite can’t-leave-without must packs come in the shape of these little ones. This Tom Ford fragrance is one of my absolute favourites (its instantly lifting in how summery it smells), and the Haeckels Beeswax Lipbalm not only looks beautiful- but does an amazing job at keeping my lips hydrated and lasts a lifetime too (as well as the Jo Malone Vitamin E Lip Conditioner too, which is super nourishing). I also unsurprisingly love the Laura Mericer Ambre Vanillé body creme, and this miniature is perfect for packing. One of the main reasons I love beauty boxes so much are their amazing travel size variety, and after receiving this in last months Birchbox, know for sure that it’s worth collecting these for travel and trips!

The ace of face…

I always seem to go a little off piste when I travel with my skincare, panicking that most of the bottles I have are too big or clunky- so I usually end up taking the first thing I spot in the bathroom cabinet. Recently, however, I’ve become a lot better in refining my travel skincare, and knowing what I actually need when I’m away. I never travel without a micellar, or cleansing water- so first things always start with Bioderma (or Garnier’s travel size water). I’ve also recently started trialling Pai Skincare, and love their Cameillia & Rose gentle hydrating cleanser, as it’s so good for sensitive skin. Following this I sweep my face with the Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting Liquid (which is amazing at banishing blemishes), and wrap up with either Luna (this mini is so handy), or an overnight face mask (this Ren one is super hydrating when abroad too)!

I also noticed that Space NK and Feel Unique also have some amazing miniature’s on their sites so check out my picks below too (including two of my favourite John Freida shampoos!
