A some of you may or may not be aware of, October currently stands as Breast Cancer Awareness month- a hugely important time where it’s absolutely vital to spread as much awareness of this devastating disease as possible, and aim to save as many lives by letting people know the vital signs to look out for. At the beginning of this month I watched Louise (one of my favourite bloggers, YouTubers and all round kick-ass women)’s video on her ‘Pink Hair story’, and her absolutely devastating (and hugely touching) cancer story. After shedding many a tear, heading over to her Just Giving page (which is doing bloody amazingly) I thought I’d try and pop a little post up myself.
As well as reading up online, lots of huge retailers and incredible beauty brands also release certain special products throughout October (or rerelease current favourites)- with a special donation going to charity with every purchase. I know not everyone will be looking to buy these things- but it’s worth checking out for your favourites as some (as you can see below)- are donating with every purchase- which is the perfect excuse for a little shop, amirite? I picked out a handful of my favourites below- but you can also check out other do-good shopping picks here too!
Now, who doesn’t love Jo Malone? Nobody? Ok good. This month, with every 100ml sale of one of my favourite scents, Red Roses- £20 will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is bloomin’ marvellous! There’s no better time to repurchase a complete classic (or get a start on your Christmas gift shopping)!
Throughout October, Estee Lauder has released it’s Evelyn Lauder Dream Collection– a collection of beautiful beauty and skincare favourites all sold to raise awareness and donations The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. With donations ranging from 20-100%, there’s an adorable selection- with my pick being the Dream Pink collection; 3 Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks and a gorgeous mini bag too!
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of all things sleepwear- so when I heard Rosie Huntington Whiteley had designed another gorgeous collection- this time all in the name of charity, I was preeeettty excited. With everything from gorgeous PJs, silky undies and her first ever post-surgery bra- 10% of all sales from the range will be going to support Breast Cancer Now.
One of my favourite skincare brands, Clinique- are also getting in on the action and running an exclusive limited edition Cheek Pop with mini purse with £2 donations of each sale going to the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation too. You can shop the blush here!
There’s a hugely helpful graphic here and lots of details over on the Breast Cancer Care site here, so please do take a moment to have a look- it won’t be wasted.
