Woah, we’re going to Ibiza!

Back to the island!

Now, seeing as I’ve only really shared outfits from our most recent trip to Ibiza (when taking outfit snaps certainly wasn’t the sole reason behind the visit), I thought I’d do a something a little more informal, a catch up, if you like? Filling you in on our little trip abroad, a bit behind it- and a few more photos too (because I have plenty to share, and that’s what this space is for, right?) Although I do have a vlog coming soon, I thought it’d be nice to document this all on here, and chat a little bit about the Purvis love for a certain little Spanish Island (and that Venga Boys song)…

Ever since I was tiny (when armbands were my only essential holiday accessory), my family have been holidaying on the White Isle. Having special close family living over there who own a small hotel by the sea (what better excuse to hop over and see them?), it’s where my parents spent their honeymoon, and we’ve spent many family holidays there since. I’ve got so many familiar memories from the towns of Es Cana, Santa EulΓ ria and Siesta– and feel incredibly lucky that I’ve been able to associate so many weeks away with such a beautiful place. This year, my parents decided to go it solo once again (what is it about hitting your twenties that means you’re officially ‘too old for family holidays’), and my brother ended up booking 10 days away with the ‘lads’- leaving Joe and I house sitting with Maggie… but not for long ; )…

A week before their holiday, and after many ‘ah I wish you were both coming’s!’ my mum suggested the idea of Joe and I flying out to surprise my dad- which led to us frantically searching last minute Easy Jet flights (and leaving on a 5:30 flight with ALL the galz on tour), reorganising work shifts and meetings- and finally booking something and flying out on the Tuesday. That evening Joe and I successfully surprised Papa P (there may have been tears)- and our two day mini family holiday began. It was so nice to do something different, and play a little unexpected surprise! It may have been super last minute, but I could definitely get used to impromptu family holidays (I promise not to invade your break next time, parents)…
