Each summer on Instagram, it’s undoubtable your feed with be awash with pale blue waters, #hotdogsorlegs legsies (are they even officially a ‘thing’ yet?), leafy palms and maybe even a fruity Pimms in the sunshine, just for ultimate jealousy inducing effect of course. Now, if I said that could all be experienced at either end of the central line (only with added shopping perks included) you’d be pretty excited right? Living in London, we’re pretty spoilt for shopping- and this summer, the wonderful people at Westfield London have created a full on summer experience in in ties with their ‘We Are The London Summer’ campaign, meaning you can chill out with a cool coconut on a deck chair, without even leaving Zone 1- the lazy gals staycation if you like.
Visiting during half term in the afternoon (when I’d usually be cautious of over-zealous children and hundreds of shoppers) Joe and I spent a surprisingly peaceful afternoon browsing the shops (and, y’know doing a bit of necessary shopping) before heading to London’s very own Beach Club to relax after some serious footwork. With mocktails, cocktails, zorbing (yes you heard right, and yes it looked amazing) and a chance to walk the red carpet with E! by entering their competition to be their first host- it’s not half bad for an afternoon in the city, right? With the club running from the 27th July- 9th August (at Westfield London, and Westfield Stratford 17th – 31st August), there’s plenty of time to make your shopping excuses and make tracks to London’s own mini summer (just don’t forget to Instagram that Pimms, ok?)
